SUNSHINE CLASS HOLDING AN AMISH FAMILY-STYLE DINNER AUGUST 17, 5:00PM
The Sunshine Class is going to hold a family style dinner at Allen and Amanda King residence, 5105 Elizabethtown Road, Manheim on Saturday, August 17th at 5:00 pm. We will be experiencing an Amish Family Style Dinner.

GOD'S CLOTHING CLOSET IS COMING AUGUST 23-24
It is time to start planning this exciting event. Here are the important dates so you can mark your calendar.
  • August 15-16, 6:30-8:30pm ~ You can help us to set up the clothing racks and tables on Thursday and Friday evening. We need lots of helpers on these days so we rest on the weekend!
  • August 19-23,  6:30 pm to 9:30 pm or daytime when the church is open - We will be sorting all the clothing, shoes, linens and “stuff”.
  • August 23 from 3-7pm ~ One-hour time shopping slots can be reserved.  You are welcome to shop too. Text or call and leave a message for Barb at 717-201-7566 to make an appointment after August 1.
  • August 24 from 8-11am ~ Everyone is welcome to shop – no reservation needed!

Donations Requested:

  • Single serve “grab-and-go” snacks, juice boxes or water bottles for our shoppers to enjoy! We need a lot - enough for 500 people!Donations can be dropped off in the church kitchen and marked GCC.
  • Boxes of new garbage bags for the shoppers to use
 
  • Clothing: Bring your clothing and shoes (clean and in good condition only, please) to the Fellowship Hall from August 18 until the event. Any size and any season are welcome, but we have special clothing needs for large men and large women, maternity, teens, children and infants.  Launder any soiled clothing so it is ready for our shoppers. Yes, we can even use purses and socks, underwear and bedding in good condition.
  • Books ~ We need children’s Bibles and Bible storybooks in good condition to give away.  Adult Bibles and devotionals too!

Volunteer Needed:
We need a volunteer coordinator for the snacks – please contact Kris if interested.

Pray for the event!  Pray that we have lots of wonderful clothing to give to hundreds of grateful shoppers, that our church may be able to provide a meaningful outreach into the community, and that we might reach some of the lost for Jesus.

REVERBERATE 2024, SUNDAY, SEPT. 15
Reverberate 2024 will take place on Sunday, September 15th, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm (with food trucks from 4:00 to 6:00 pm) in Long's Park. This free, one-night event will feature powerful testimonies from members of our community, joyful fellowship, and worship from various denominations. We at Water Street Mission are praying that this night of worship and unity for Lancaster is a blessing to your church community!
